“Get the Job Done”

This book was commissioned and published at the time Sir Donald Tsang running campaign for his second term of HKCE in year 2007, collected his blog posts and photos sharing in his thoughts and reflections throughout the campaign journey. He was widely supported by general public at that time and it was a honoured milestone to be able to design this book. In terms of project challenge, most photos received were taken in lower resolution snaps, not as ideal for hires printing to a designer’s concern. Hence resolved by using polaroids to frame photos in the layouts, designed to give a sense of moment capturing and good memory. On the cover, we chosen a signature profile photo of him praying in church with his face not looking direct to camera but looking up to God to show his inner emotion and determination. All the photos were selected in the same direction – sense of moment capture, natural and genuine. The book design direction is simple and to look approachable.
